Saturday carried off where Friday finished with the boy's in 61 taking 4 fish right from the start with their first 2 a stunning 52-01lb mirror and a 42-02lb mirror. Nashie in Steve's  was also into the fish as well, taking 7 fish to 39lb and most of his fish were upper 30's. Most of our 30's  seems to be in the upper  bracket, with most pushing the 40lb mark, which is good news!. Johan in R2 was doing well too with 7 fish to 38lb and dropped 2. Scott and John on 61 were steady  on the fish and by Wednesday morning we had 34 fish banked  including 1 x 50lb+ 5 x 40lb+ and 6 dropped. I think the  biggest problem with anglers dropping fish is that  their lead discharge system doesn't work as quick as they think and are playing the lead not the fish, the fish is going one way and the lead going the other  and the hook comes out . When I fish I use  ACE LEAD CLIPS and I cut the tongue right back and I test my discharge system in the bath to see how quick the lead comes off. I drop very few fish as I know I playing the fish and not the lead!! I see anglers every year drop fish but they are so blinked using inferior lead clips, I'm sure the lead dosen't come of until 1/2 way through playing the fish,or not at all, never mind there loss not mine!. I was watching Kordas volume 6 DVD and even Danny's and Damian's leads haden't come off and they say how good their lead clips are, for me the price  of a lead is not worth a fish of a life time  or any fish  and especially  the fish's welfare! Well best get off my soap box and back to the fishing. Well it was wet all week and temperatures didn't get much above 16 during the day's and 5-8 at night. The water temperature went from 16 to 14 because of all the rain but the fishing was steady all week. Scott in 61 ended up with 13 fish with 3x 40lb+ and a stomping pb 52- 01lb mirror. John took 15 fish to 40lb+, Nashie ended up with 8 fish but just could not get over the 40lb mark. But most of his  were over 36lb to 39lb. Johan in R2 ended up with 11 fish richard took 3 fish to over 40lb+ and lost a good fish round the tree in the middle of the lake and I had it in my hands but just as i was about to let Richard  carry on playing it the  hook pulled better luck next year Richard? Jason and Ryan both did their PB's and  went home happy. I have never seen 2 guy,s drink so many can's of coke, well done boy's!!. The week ended with 50 fish on the bank 1 x 50lb+ 6 x 40lb+ and our average for the week was 33-02 we had 12 dropped and 1 lost in the snags, once again a great week bar the rain and I 'm looking forward to next year when you all  return. i would like to thank all the boy's for looking after my fish and lake and  great social in the swims.
