2012 SEASON SUMMARY
Well what a great 2012 season, first of all I like to thank all the anglers for making this a great season for us and we are looking forward for 2013, when most of you return to bank some more Bossard Monsters. Well lets start off with how many fish we banked, total fish was 833 we had 192 dropped fish and we had 53 lost in the snags, This gives us a grand total of 1,078 fish on. we had two different 60+ mirrors a 64-02lb and a 65-04lb , 7 different 50+ mirrors to 59-08lb 3 different 50+ commons to 56 02lb , 36 different 45lb+ mirrors and 27 of then were over 47lbs , 16 different 45lb+ commons, over 32 different 40lb+ mirrors, 20, 40lb+ commons, 360 30lb+ mirrors and commons, and 366 20lb+ to 29lbs and most of the 20lb+ fish now are in the upper 20s. We averaged just over 30lb+ this year, with a few weeks over 35lb+ and our best week over 45lb+. I'm really pleased with the growth rate of my carp and by the 2014 season we should be carrying a 40lb+ average,I could do it next season but it would mean removing all 20lb+ fish and these fish are packing on the weight and some time when the fishing is hard a 20lb+ fish is most welcome. The trouble is everybody wants BIG CARP!! the trouble stocking Big Carp is sometime there weight can go backwards its so much better stocking young 30lb+ fish that just romp on the weight.
As Im writing this its -7 at Bossard and work has come to a full stop and everything is frozen solid and on that note I wish all our anglers a Very Merry Christmas, happy New Year and a great 2013 season.
